LUCKY Recently Adopted!

Great news — I’ve been ADOPTED! Here’s a pic of me with my new dads. They’re the BEST!

Hi there! My name is Lucky – or that’s my name now, anyway. For most of my 15 years I lived with my human mom, who took great care of me, and we had lots of good times together. Then she passed away and our extended family couldn’t take care of me. They found a family who said they wanted me, but then they moved…and forgot to take me with them! I spent a little bit of time on the streets fending for myself, which is quite an accomplishment when you’re a ten-pounder like me. Luckily, I caught the attention of some animal rescuers (they’re angels on earth, I have to say), and they picked me up and took me to the vet who checked me out, updated my vaccinations, and tested me for heart worm and parasites (I’m clear!). I was already neutered, thank goodness. Anyway, the vet deemed me ready to roll and thanks to two chauffeur services, I rolled about 450 miles from Oklahoma to New Mexico. I’m now in a great foster home and have other dogs, small and large, to play with. We all get along great. I have to admit, I’m happier than I’ve been in a while and apparently it shows. My foster mom says my tail doesn’t stop wagging and I have a perpetual smile on my face. So that’s my background, and here’s my dating profile: I’m a young 15-ish years old, and my vet says that I’m in great shape. I weigh about 10 lbs, and unbelievably, my teeth are in pretty good shape. I have gorgeous reddish-gold fur that really highlights my ears. I’m posting three selfies that show just how versatile my ears are – they stand up, they hang down, and they do everything in between. I’m well-mannered with people and other dogs, and my foster mom is pleased that I seem to be housetrained to both piddle pads and the doggie door to the back yard. While I love cuddling on the couch, I also love running around outside with my step-pack. If you’re looking for an affectionate-and-spunky playmate look no further! My adoption fee of $275 reflects my somewhat advanced age. Hope to hear from you soon!
